The Spring Festival in Thanasius
The festival seems more popular than ever this year. There is quite a carnival atmosphere. It lasts for the entire 10 days and always builds up to a climax on the last weekend when the hotels and taverns are full, the streets are a bustle of noisy vendors trying to sell souvenirs and uneatable food to gullible tourists, jugglers and clowns try to earn a coin on every street corner and the squares are full of musicians and actors playing their latest comedies or musicals.
The Royal Prince and His retinue are in attendance for the whole week – He is a big fan of the pony girl races. So it has become a regular part of the social calendar for many of the fashionable Masters and Mistresses of the aristocracy. It’s a place to see and be seen. A place to dress up and show off one’s wealth, socialize and connect with the powerful.
My Mistress is very busy – her social calendar for the week includes picnics by the river in the afternoons and evening soirées and dances which usually go on until very late. There are also private parties and smaller engagements too and she also likes to take in some of the latest cultural exhibitions at the museums and galleries.
Of course if she doesn’t sleep then neither do I and I often feel quite worn out from it all. She is very kind to me though and understands that I cannot serve her as well as I’d like if I am too tired so, as she is always partial to a late afternoon siesta, she usually allows me to share her bed with her at that time.
She is very tender with me in these moments and calls me her “pretty one” and, after massaging and pleasuring her, I often fall asleep blissfully in her arms.
And I swear to you by all the gods, for that one hour, there is no happier slave in all the Principality.
The Slave Games
The slave games have been organised here for hundreds of years. It’s a tradition that dates back to the seminary’s early days when it was founded as a way to guarantee reliable male slave fighters for the wars and bravery and physical fitness were of paramount importance.
It was only much later that it was encouraged to open its doors to female slaves by Prince Alanthi who, it was said, required wenches who could be trusted to keep their “their pussies open and their mouths shut.”
The races feature some of the best pony boys and girls in the world and are usually the most popular events of the week. Substantial wagers are often placed and large sums of money have been known to be won and lost.
The pony girl racers are fantastically valuable. Nowadays most pony girls are specifically bred for the purpose of racing and the Royal family have their own private stud farm. There is often massive security surrounding these races and the Royal Guard police the events and protect the racers from kidnapping or worse.
Apart from the races, there are also athletics and swimming events, and the festival also has a cultural side with many art exhibitions. Some of the new performance artists consider slaves to be a legitimate canvas to work on. They use slave flesh to express themselves through body art, suspension, knotting and roping, and creating slave “objet’s d’art.” During the festival week it’s quite common to see these living works of art hung not only in public galleries but also in the squares and parks.

My Mistress is a follower of this new movement and once bought 10 slaves specifically to be hung at a soiree she was holding in the capital. She used Sadissius, one the most daring and controversial of these young artists, to design and hang them around the house and gardens. The slave “objets d’art” were then painted in situ as souvenirs and these were then auctioned at a charity fund-raising event. They were quite a success and the night was featured in several of the capital’s news journals.
She then sold all the slaves at a profit the next day. So not only was it a cultural success but a financial one too.
Of course I cannot fail to mention the endurance games here. These test the slave’s discipline skills and include the hugely popular spanking and whipping events. In these the Masters display their skills and artistry with the whip. Slaves who show grace and beauty under the whip or who, like me, “sing” are highly prized and are considered to reflect well on the Masters who own them.
The most popular of these contests is the “Kiss of Leather.” The trophy goes to the Master or Mistress who can bring a female slave to orgasm by the kiss of leather alone. It is always a hotly debated competition as it does not just depend on how long the whipping takes but also on how beautiful the slave is under the whip. Her cries, her grace, and, of course, her whipsong – both before and during the orgasm – are also judged to be of vital importance in order to win the prize.
All orgasms are tested for their authenticity before a judge can make a final decision.

The Slave Hunt
The closing event of the week is the slave hunt. A hundred slaves are stripped naked and temporarily “freed”. They are then given 15 minutes to run and hide in the woods or down by the river. Then teams of Masters and Mistress hunt them down on horseback. The team that captures the most slaves wins.
Once the slave has been captured he or he or she is usually tied to a tree or a fence and the hunters devise their own punishment – usually just a whipping – after which the captured slave is used to pleasure the team members individually or as a group.
At midnight the slaves are finally returned to their owners who sometimes give symbolic garlands of thanks to the hunters.
Some slaves often just try to surrender as soon as they can, however many Masters think this is bad sport and devise especially cruel punishments for any slave they think “hasn’t played the game.”
They are supposed to surrender themselves immediately once a Master has come within their sight and failure to surrender can result in even more brutal punishments than the ones meted out for giving in too easily. So the slave has to really tread a fine line between giving sport and showing submission.
Any slave who has not surrendered before midnight is considered a runaway and, once caught, faces the legal penalties of having committed a criminal act. Punishments are ferocious and the slave is confiscated from the owner by the authorities and banished to work in the mines or the desert regions.
For the slave it is a gruelling event with an uncertain end. If the capturing team are just playing at having some fun with the slave then it can end with just the whipping and forced pleasuring. If the team are not so benign, and a few are not, the slave can be submitted to any kind of sadistic torment before the day’s end. There are some teams that actively pursue it, regarding the event as an updated version of an ancient tradition which, for one day, allowed Masters to give public vent to their most vicious private fantasies.
Every few years there is a case of financial compensation paid to a slave owner for “breakages” or “traumas” incurred on the slave property by a team “that perhaps had got carried away and gone too far.”
This kind of activity is officially frowned upon by the games organizers but with many traditionalists wielding power in the local councils, very little is ever done to prevent it and for the most part it is all just hushed up and forgotten about.
I had always given thanks to the gods that my Mistress had never taken much interest in the hunt and this year, as she had not informed me before arriving that I was to participate in any of the games, I had presumed I was just there to serve her and enjoy the games at her side.
I was wrong.
